Summer Desire
The old elm shivers naked and bare
Summer's golden starlight has bid farewell
Strewn leaves lie silent orange red pastel
Where fragmented pieces of death prevail
Though love stands undaunted
And songs whisper the breeze
Still a lonely heart yearns
In sunlit dream
The old elm shivers naked and bare
