Summer At the Lake
During these hot summer days
Strolling along the grassy lakeside
Looking into the lake so blue
Amazed looking on the water tide
Down deep is many water creatures
Such depth reveal such a view
Mixed among the waters so brimful
Are many shapes and sizes old and new
There’s a silence in the water’s edge
Chirping sounds breaks the moment
Melodious chirps come from above
Such lightness in the air so sent
These summer days coming to it’s end
Hold the memories of their brightness
On your very fingertips ever so tight
To loosen would lose such wholeness
(thoughts on our summers past when walking along the lakeside enjoying the experience bringing such happiness)
