Suffocation

There once was a girl who brought light to the dark She was free as a bird and her soul had a spark She found a young boy who had darkness inside So she opened his heart to the light he once shied They spent many years of warmth and of love They relied on each other - it fit like a glove But on the horizon the storm clouds did loom For the unknowing future of love was their doom He left on a trip to discover the world It was hard to depart his beautiful girl Time travelled on until news came one day She'd declared war on love then she threw it away He rushed on back home till the wind made him numb But she'd made up her mind long before he had come He pleaded and begged and the both of them cried But she said 'let me live', then she left and he died The darkness caved in, the walls toppled down And thunderous waves crushed his heart till it drowned He had lost everything that he'd once loved so dear He had lost his one love and his will and his care He sat on a cliff and stared at the sea At the infinite waves of dejection to be Alone in the cold, despair in his soul He had nowhere to run - he was no longer whole 09-Aug-2011
