Such a Sunny Day
SUCH A SUNNY DAY
To a wishful breeze, whispering grasses swayThese pastures of different green colour huesSuch was it, this beautiful glorious sunny day
Farmers in their fields, reaping in the dry haySkies lightened by the sun in blooms of bluesTo a wishful breeze, whispering grasses sway
Birds; within the hedgerow’s, come to surveyEars as bent, as to the swaying grasses newsSuch was it, this beautiful glorious sunny day
Under the cool of a tree, woolly sheep, do layA puppy dog; plays, a field mouse, it pursuesTo a wishful breeze, whispering grasses sway
Picturesque; I couldn't have it any other wayAs into my memory, I memorize all the viewsSuch was it, this beautiful glorious sunny day
Reflective thoughts; become me this fine dayAs to any other day only here I would chooseTo a wishful breeze; whispering grasses swaySuch was it, this beautiful glorious sunny day
