Such a Strange World
Such A Strange World
Such a strange world we live in
Cold air blowing while the warm sun shines
Snowflakes drifting softly to the ground
Shining like chips of the purest diamond they cover the ground
The sky turns into the deepest of baby blues as the sun rises
Making the soft white clouds brighter as they float by
White disappears turning grey in the face of winter’s fury
The winds blow as the light of the sun dies behind the clouds
The soft snowflakes turn to razors as they are whipped by the wind
All of the beauty of the earlier world is gone and forgotten
Snow dunes and ice mounds bury life as they move across the land
Shovels come out under the dim light of amber streetlights
Paths shoveled and reshoveled time after time throughout the night
The morning comes with its own shade of amber
The clouds are gone and the paths are clear
The streets have their own beauty and purity
The sun shines on the fresh snow, untouched by man
Showing that beauty can create chaos
Teaching that chaos can create beauty
A world of contradictions
Such a strange world we live in
