Subway Ride

I ride the Subway every time. The people that I see there are not my kind. Some have phones on which they play games, others talk like no ones there. Some read and some look around. Some listen to music that you can't hear a sound. It's so strange for a short or a long ride. That no one cares about the other's side. It's just like being a disappearing ghost, and most of all I take it all in. When I reach my stop it's like I've never been. Then I take this ride again.

Marilyn--Wow, you really captured the feeling of anonymous alienation here. I think we all have felt this at times, especially in today's culture. Great job. Carol
