Sub Conscience Mind

Raging from within, It speaks to me, Pain, regret, and self destruction, I cannot feel it, But it is there, From every thought, And every move, Only now I have come to understand, That the abuse is still there, Buried in, that I thought had died, And try to keep it from my mind, For some things I do, I don’t understand, Like cowering from a touch, Of a gentle hand, Engraved in the soul, Or maybe in the mind, Thing that have happened over the times, That has never been left behind, I could now find a way, To put it asleep, And not let my sub conscience, Rule me so deep. There are times when it goes wild. Just knock the critter off your shoulder and move on. I like the imaginative spirit in this poem. Great job! Joseph
