Stuck In a Christmas Globe

(Not for contest, the title just provided inspiration) I stand here alone in my garden, no smile on my face, just a frown, whenever I feel my life's on the up someone then turns my world upside down. I'm clearing my path, but it's pointless, three times a day, it's a real pain, it hurts both my arms, when it's done, then I'm calm, but it snows, so I do it again. I'd live somewhere else, yes, I'd love to, up sticks, relocate somewhere warm, but I can't leave the yard, God I've tried really hard, but each time I do, there's a storm. I'd put my house up on the market, it looks really good, almost new, but buyers with cars will have nowhere to park it so they look elsewhere, so would you. The children next door are enormous, you should hear the noise that they make, home from school they all run by my house, just for fun, and then pick it up, give it a shake. I can't live like this here forever, just waiting for snowstorms to pass, I'll contact 'Homes under the Hammer' and get them to shatter the glass. * ( * 'Homes under the Hammer is a UK property auction TV show)

What a wonderful write Viv. The first quatrain sets the tone beautifully with expressive imagery.

Like the way you continue to explore new territory and don't get lost. Who needs a guide dog when you have such a reliable pen. All the best for Christmas and New Year if I don't get a chance to visit for inspiration beforehand. Best regards David in NZ
