Struck By Lightning Thoughts
These jagged crashing glows,
Searing my memories,
Welded to turning pages in this brain.
White hot flashes,
Becoming cold and lonely,
Lie dormant in that past.
Yet every now and then,
A spark arises from a smoldering hope,
Though still just a glimmer of a once blinding light.
Love,
Gently thundering in my head,
Bolting now swiftly,
Almost as quickly as it came.
Finding myself hiding in an occasional cloudy dream,
Caught up briefly in burning thoughts of unreality,
Then woken so rudely by this morning's bright beginning,
Alone, again.
