Streets of Dreams
Swollen nights bereft of sky
Soon, incandescent alleys slink
Tethered stars like winsome eyes
Channel Venice with a wink
Baptized new in lumened sheen
Roiling mirrors bend the night
From sidewalk's edge, canals agleam
A city’s veins in shimmered light
Beneath the streetlights wetted glaze
Cobbled rivers waft up steam
A Terrace framed in moisture’s haze
Look down upon a lovers dream
