Stranger

He saw the old man begging He saw the young woman fretting He saw the children messing Then he sat to watch The young woman walked by A tear and a cry He felt her despair He had to care Care for someone unknown Care for her he would own He caught up with her Asked her what's wrong with her? She saw a man Of peace and calm with eyes that made her feel welcome. She broke down to him He absorbed her sins She moved along She turned...he's gone Suddenly she felt really happy again The shame melted away Her mind had healed from the pain she had concealed The begging man saw the face of a strange man. The reassuring smile and gentle eyes made the man feel at home again. The strange man helped him up and took his cup Walked with him to see A place of refuge where he'd be in peace, warm and free He settled him in and put his money in a tin. The tin was gold, the money an amount untold But the tin would always hold some more money for him He sat by the window with a fresh cup of brewed tea. The man smiled at him through the pane so thin, He felt settled immediately. He watched him walk away, then simply fade away. The boys were trying to win, win against everything. They would block your path and then they would have a laugh He walked up to them Then they gathered to see this man He did not look at them He stood in front of them They tried to see What he was to do but he Just stood looking down The boys confused somehow One pushed at him Then thought he'd burnt his skin The heat settled down, no pain just surprise profound The boys started shouting at him Insulting and cursing him The hail did not find the ground Like missiles it tracked their ground They moved away Amazed to see him stay The hail quickly ceased The boys in there shelter is where they stayed. They watched the man raise his head and move along They settled down and all sat on the ground Something had happened you see They'd met a living infinity They'd all had a brush with a man mysterious Later they could all track there fate To meeting a strange man that one day Was it a vision they saw, a ghost, an angel or more? One thing they could all agree, he was a healing force to all of them you see. A man who moved along, a strange man who's face they couldn't recall. The memory of him would not go away, why? He changed there lives for the better that day.
