Stranger
A new stranger walks into the room
A friend of a friend, invited along
At a bar, with little introduction
He seems distant and unknown
I'm asked, as a favor, to keep him lively
For he "knows No one and is shy always "
They all know, I'm the opposite
And ask for me to talk or try
We engaged in a funny conversation
In a surprisingly enchanting evening
Before I realized, the night had ended
With my friend, in toe, He was leaving
That's when he turned to ask me, matter-of-factly,
"Are you coming. With me?"
I couldn't help but turn a crimson red
As I denied his request
And walked quickly to my car
As My heart was crushed
