Strange Eh

The pressure is on, can't let a day go by Without writing a poem... that would be unthinkable The Poetry Police would be breaking down my door And exacting severe punishment Us poet guys are committed (or should be! LOL) A bit of humour there... Even on those days when it feels like we're brain dead We must call on all the intestinal fortitude we can muster Even if it's a three line limerick What about a three line narrative? Does that work or am I twisting the rules? What do you call this thingy dingy that you're reading now Ha! Gotcha... it's a POEM!!!!! What a tricky guy I am... When writing about writing a poem, I'm writing a poem Strange eh! © Jack Ellison 2015

I can only write when the muse is there Jack - thankfully she doesn't leave me often - I've posted 470 poems (plus Jadazzle United poems ) since 2nd February isn't bad going for someone who still has their 'poetry L plates' lol:-) Never realised how my husband's cancer would change my life forever when i wrote my first poem after he had undergone surgery at the end of 2013! Hugs jan xx

He got the all clear in July - you can never know what those words mean until they actually sink in and you can truly get on with the rest of your life - hes got another 6 month check on 22nd Jan so had the joy of a blood test today:-) Hugs jan xx

Strange would be not EVER writing about writting a poem! The worst thing in the world is writers block. Since it entails a lot of hot feet, From Dragon! And don't forget the tail whoops! He's good at those tail whoops! So I don't tell him I'm stuck. I say I'm gathering material for his next poem, and if it takes a while, then it's being well thought out. After all, he wouldn't want a bad one... so he suffers in silence, hot tootsies, and tail whoomps. ERRR I think he's figured out my ploy! OUCH!
