Storms Fury

Dark grey clouds begin to form in the morning sky Strong winds develop leaves begin to fly In the distance a boom of thunder creates a sinister sound Rain pours from the heavens scattering children from a nearby playground Up above lightening dances across the sky Small planes become grounded far to dangerous to fly Storm drains start to overflow too much water to bare Time to seek shelter no time to spare Trees from a nearby forest begin to sway side by side A car pulls up the driver offers me a ride An act of kindness I can’t refuse I found my escape from this incredible deluge
