Storms
Storms
While standing alone along the cliff about my home
Waves stripping rocks to their bare black bones
Rocking nature to the core
Lifting winds along the way and much more
Fascination struck me with the power that it owns
Swirling everything that could be known or blown
Clinging to a nearby tree
Storms racing with me and my heart with every beat
The ocean also wishes to claim a part of me
Nature gives permission to do such things
Vivid majesty, wondrous waves, lifted by the storm
Punctuated by the Lightening at my feet
Tumultuous undercurrents of nature at its best
It takes my breath and then it takes a rest
