Stop the Madness

Here we go again Lord another senseless crime Because some fool with a gun ended lives before their time People are so angry at the things that have taken place And a lot of people say it has to do with race But race is not the issue if we look deep within At some point we will realize the real problem is sin Now the mob's turned ugly shouting things like "kill the cops" How many more will have to die before the madness stops People are pointing fingers trying to find someone to blame But for the families of those who died they'll never be the same Our country has forgotten the ones who made it great Remind us of their faith in you Lord we can't afford to wait Only you know for sure where things will go from here We ask you for our country back and let us live without fear Help us all to just step back and let you take control Please bring us all together before we loose another soul

Sadly, it would seem things are destined to get worse before they improve. I don't say that out of despair, but I think to imply the importance of good people using their talents and skills to improve the world in whatever ways they can. I think your writing here, is a perfect example of that. Thank you for using your talent to raise awareness and encourage change. Beautifully done. -G

Thank you! I am blessed that you liked my poem. I write straight from the heart of God. I've learned not to question him but just do what he says. I so appreciate your kindness.

Absolutely wonderful poem, so so true, it's so sad with everything thats happening, people have to stop trying to take things into their own hands and know that God is in control. Very good poem.
