Stood There

Stood There Stood There on that very same shore To see husband well worth waiting for Who no longer will be here anymore Dear one who I did love and adore. Stood There when his ship had sailed And return back to me again it failed Now by me could no longer be hailed By exploding bombs it was impaled. Stood There forever and another day After his gallant ship was blown away Don't want to leave and always stay Pictures and medals are on display. Stood There while waiting for the tide To change and also sad feelings inside Of me with eyes which are open wide Full of teardrops as I cried and cried. Stood There and more I Stood There For me, why was life not always fair A moment together wish we can share But God has him in heaven up there. James Thomas Horn Retired Veteran and Poet My dad did die at sea in an accident while on the CVA-11 Carrier Intrepid. Send me a response so I will know who is reading my poems. Thanks.

Angie, It just naturally flowed out. The more you write the more natural it becomes. If from you poems are flowing, they will always keep on growing. How did you find my poem? Jim Horn
