Still Perfect

Dinner with my dad Eating everything we had Set out on the table Talking about the label 'Memories of me' And I confessed to be And that I used to think Without hesitation of a blink I thought I was more Than perfect to the core Than everyone around me But right now I can see That it is not the case For there is still enough space Inside for imperfection If I should lose to temptation But my dad looks at me And says so earnestly His words forces my doubts to bow "You are perfect even now."

Such a great writing you have here. A touching story bout your doubtness and your Dad's support. My Dad, he would never say about a thing, but in his eyes I know what he tries to say. That's like somehow a connection between Dad and his children. Enjoyed this a lot. Is that you in the picture? If so, you look very young with such a big talent. Dinda

aw, thanks!!! my dad sometimes can be a pain in the butt, but he's the more supportive of my parents...i usually go to him more than my mom...usually. and yes, that's me!!! but i think part of the reason i'm good at poetry is because i loved and started writing poetry at a young age, maybe 9 or 10. i always thought they're cool. glad someone liked it!!! :D
