Stevenson
Sense fables clear that tell so much,
Treats of fine thought in sublime plots;
Evoke and cheer fond feel and touch,
Voice dressed in lot that weaves each spot;
Echoes live well in tale and tact,
Notice the sweep of travel fare;
Sparkling scenes tell of myriad acts,
Observe the grip of wiles men bear;
Now action breathes in words that stray.
Truth wears a wit in form and prime,
Answers drape swift the pun in play;
Live toilsome bits in pulse or crime,
Excel the space where life sparks haste,
See face to face what horrors waste.
