Stay With Me

From my baby girl Who never left my side To my beautiful teen Who wants to run and hide A washing machine Spins round in your head When you can't blame hormones You blame me instead You've fallen out the nest Way too soon to see Your wings aren't ready Stay with me I know you believe Your too strong to stay put That life is too exciting To keep your eyes shut But you've fallen far And way too long You've all your life to fly Stay with me, stay strong I'm not letting you fall I know you believe you can But every instinct in me stands up I'm your heart, i'm your Mam Fall when life is safe When you know what to do Right now you need me As i need you My beautiful girl So strong and set for sea Wait for your wings Stay with me For my teenager daughter age 14
