Started Out Life As a Child
Started out life as a child
An amazing revelation for sure
Became a teenager, make no excuses
Those teenage years were a blur
Not as wild as one might think
More controlled than some of my peers
My whole life with all its unknowns
Still had a gazillion fears
My oh my, how the time flies
Seems I'm not going to live forever
Look in the mirror each morning and think
I once looked a whole lot better
Such is life, shouldn't expect any more
Don't deserve anything special
Try as we might to delay life's journey
For our destiny we must settle
When the time comes, we take a look back
Feel we did the best that we could
Tried real hard to be a model citizen
All in all it turned out damn good
