Stars and Those With Stripes

"America First", is the worst. Should not thinking of others, be your thirst? Those who are selfish, end up being cursed! Soon they'll be last, instead of first. Who among you, prefers guns and war? Do you really have freedom, shore to shore? If most have less, are you happy with more? Should the privileged few, be guarding the door? Protectionism, rots you to the core. In the end, you won't know who it's for? What does it mean, to be "Great Again"? I'll listen to learn, try your best to explain! Were there fields of cotton and sugarcane? Was it back of the bus perfect, everyone staying in their own lane? A pain striped passport, for those on the soul train. If you know the truth, please speak it plain. I want to find great, I've wracked my brain. Whose America are you trying to regain?

Hi Richard, this is a thought provoking write. It is well written and too the point. I wont stay on this one wrong because my thoughts go to the idiot and then anger. When does America get back to her greatness? I love the content of your write. It has left me thinking and as i always say, that is not a bad thing. A Fave. Interesting to see if his presidential term last, also if it does, if he can command a second term. Only the Citizens of the USA, can decide. One concern is that now China's Xi Jinping wants a lifelong term, Trump may get ideas..

Speaking the truth is always difficult, Richard, but I'm glad you have done just that here....and so well. I hope that this poem will get people to rethink some of his policies. Sorry I've been away...Hugs

I am saddened by all that is transpiring. He rethinks his policies daily hourly and by the second. His is a mind of shifting sand. God help the world.

Such a majestic and powerful country, I could add more, but I'd be torn to shreds. Yeah, a person racks their brains constantly on the shambles of the 'leading' nation, those it's Heads of Power attempt to lead on it's home soil, as well as on the world stage. Congrats on POTD.
