Star of the Morning

Star of the morning Seeing you truly for the first time Longing to understand you To reach out and touch Frozen in time You can only plot The course designed Destined to follow the same path Year after year For how many have you known Sometimes in the East Then again in the West Placed in space for man To enjoy on nights When the clouds don't Obscure the line of light Slowly each morning The sun puts you to sleep Sleeping all day Rested you return To please men again Whether it is men On the sea or shore Your light guides again
