Standing Tall

I lift my head and see the sky So blue, so clear, so high A bird flies by and beats its wings A merry tune it sings A breeze now whispers in my ear Releasing all my fears My aching heart, my teary eyes Starts to vanish with a sigh A patter of feet on the grass While children’s laughter pass They run, they play, they jump and dance And even tried to prance The smile I long begin to creep Upon my sorrowed lips I watch the peace around me flow Whilst my heart starts to glow It’s not the end, life’s moving on I must not again mourn For past is past, I must stand tall And rise in every fall
