Standing At the Door
They both woke early that day preparing for what's ahead
Both walking the same way to a place that they were lead
The woman was slightly older with a slight smile on her face
The younger one was much colder and knew little of grace
As they came to the light the two woman were now side by side
Neither in the others sight but the light to which they both abide
As the light soon turned the crowd started crossing the street
Only later had she learned that this was the lady that she'll meet
Now they were almost side by side one was looking up, one down
And that is the reason she tried in seeing that young girls frown
Seeing the lady's sincere smile she too responded in kind as well
In now talking for a while, well, her whole story she began to tell
Before long they were there, both were going to the same place
As both became painfully aware, often God works through Grace
Looking at that door and then turning back to the woman's way
Asking if they could talked a bit more and perhaps even pray
