~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
feathered friends
chirp inside my head,
their glittering wing tips
a conductor's wand
coloring my world
in the
trill
of birdsong,
drifting springtime pollen,
soft as a lover's kiss,
dipping, swirling, soaring
over vibrant fields of wildflowers
where frissons of pleasure play
on every petal dancing
in the floral breeze,
imbibing my soul in
rainbowed confetti,
the red of poppies
amid the greens,
the white of daisies and
golden drops of dandelions,
as feet still and heart open,
I bathe in their perfume
as they paint the palette.
