Spring Storm

Clouds and sky enraged Whirling angry messages Thunder is its voice Crashing and banging Crackles of lightning and limbs Hail pounding pavement Leaves rustling about Wind swirling and crying out Then comes the silence Howling winds begin Moans of fury from cyclones Raindrops tap loudly Thrashing of buildings Trees uprooted and thrown down Path of destruction Wind turns to whispers And raindrops drip rhythmically Serene once again * inspired by Raul Moreno’s Sounds of Nature contest. Sounds I love to hear ... o my soul splashed in this tropic moment of joy ... bet you did not know that Shango is the king-god of thunder in the pantheon of Nigerian-Caribbean Orishas. Thunder is the voice of justice... great write, and best of luck inthe contest, my sister.
