Spring Song

SPRING SONG It starts with a few birds in chorus The liberated sun has warmed their feathers Snow is mostly gone and The ground looks muddy-warm Grass and weeds – still lightly green - are rustled by some faint lonely breeze escaped the jaws of Boreas Yes there is a song in the air And if you listen closely its words – by imagination- might tell of a lusty God’s new love affair

Hi Daver, thanks for the comment. The poem is based on a photograph Constance posted for her "reflections" contest and there are bubbles in a pond where a young woman (angel) is seeing her own image. It's hard to interpret the poem without seeing the picture. Love, Carolyn

daver , on the question you asked me, yes, she had at least 13 personalities maybe more. I read the book. It is horrifying the kind of abuse she suffered. The movie was one of those really long ones done in a series, like Roots was. I think Sally Field played Sybil.

I really like the way you format your poem with the spaces(for pause perhaps) I must try this way of doing a poem, it makes for an amazing poem, which is what this is amazing~~ PS it is so cold in Ottawa, Canada today, there is a north wind blowing, I wish Pearl the cat would go away, she has her head on the keyboard, making typing this very difficult, no wonder I make a few typos in my poems~~

Just like we humans, God must love spring because he has graced it with so much beauty. Even the grass and weeds are welcome after the brown winter lawns come back to life. And I'm with you on Joe Paterno as well as Bowden. Two of the finest people ever to coach college football! Love, Carolyn
