Spring Perfume
Earth's backdrop now is painted green,
but not of single hue;
the artist washed the winter scene,
removed the icy blue,
making the canvas new.
The love that fills the painting
is quite evident to me
for the detail it's containing.
bird, butterfly, and bee,
ask them; they are likely to agree.
Crystal dewdrops sparkle on the grass;
I survey the flowers' bloom.
a day I do not want to pass
inside in darkened room:
give me this spring perfume.
