Spring In Winter
Oh fragrant blossom, too early beginning to bloom,
Your beauty so exquisite will rapture us soon,
Fooled by temperatures so high,
Sun streaming rays from the sky,
Your joyous presence premature, without rain only doom.
And the children who sing and play by your side,
Bring a smile to each blossom, each twig, with pride,
Your petals wondrously open one at a time,
Listen carefully, like church bells that chime,
Their vivid lilac colour is impossible to ignore or hide!
