Spring
The death of Winter and the birth of Spring,
Events apart yet in quiet tandem.
The excited emotion this change will bring,
This new brush of Spring again paints young.
The chill of Winter creeps from season's end,
And leaves Spring's wet fog to lift each morning.
To reveal grass brown, moisture to depend.
Until rains roll in, thunder forewarning.
Spring enters slowly in amber silence.
A softer glow from the sun's rising fire,
To awash new blooms in their compliance,
and dress the landscape in color to admire
How gentle the change of a season's rebirth.
How wondrous the sight of this changing Earth.
