Spooky
written February 16, 2015
I look outside my window at night
The rain is beating down
The thunder and the lighting are exciting all the girls
Who are hiding under cover from that sound beneath the floor
Yeah its creakin' and it's squeaking
Yeah he's comin' to this world
It's gettin' a little bit spooky tonight
It's gettin' a little bit spooky all right
A little a little bit spooooky
Yeah he's got you in his sights
And he's comin' for your life
Don't be scared don't be scared don't be scared for heaven's sake
He'll be gentle he'll be gentle he'll be gentle on your face
He's been known to even show a little sympathy and grace
He may even stop and bring some flowers to your wake
And calm your crying mother for she's lost her little girl
But he's not there for consolation no he's thinking 'bout tomorrow's situation
For there's plenty of you out there hiding by your smoke and mirrors
Under cover 'bove your bedroom floor
Yeah he's creakin' and he's squeakin'
An insatiable desire for more
So just embrace him and just face him
Just unlock your bedroom door
Put down your velvet curtain
Let it fall onto the floor
Look toward the future and all that has in store
