Spinning the Abuse Web

Watching the spider as he catches his prey Spinning his web, delivering venom Back and forth doing his work skillfully There in the web a little Gheni Wasp Fight back each time the spider approaches Trying to sting and get away at the same time Each time the Wasp gets weaker _more paralysis Soon the spider can't move but still alive_barely The spider slowly digest the wasp_eats _enjoys Using it up until just a shell__inside empty But still fear_each time the spider approaches Fear_torment until death__then spider starts again

Didn't like spiders when I was a kid, Sara. But when we lived in the tropics spiders were so helpful to get rid of the mosquitoes! Enjoyed your poem!...Gert

Smiles, a clear write - picture perfect! I had discussed doing a very similar piece with my husband last weekend but never got around to it in the end... you beat me to it and did it much credit too, well done! Thanks for your kindness of comment today, kindest thoughts, Anna-Marie.

Abuse can be very much as you describe it, Sara. People are trapped, tricked and then devoured by predators. Astute observation! Diane

Very profound, Sara. This is the way life is sometimes, we get caught in webs that lead to our demise. Compelling poem with brilliant use of imagery. I could see all of it unfolding. Love, Carolyn
