Spider Web

Entangled head in spider web, I'm sure you've known the rush. "Where's that doggone spider gone!", with flip, and shake, and rub. These sticky traps across my path bring sharpness to my eyes, as I am the first, to break the silver Spider Strings, so beautifully draped across the path, this early morning hike. This is indeed a healthy sign, since years of drought swept way, these toiling artists of the night, to leave a less exciting hike. This year I hope that they return, and multiply, like rabbits.
