Speak Gently
A celestrial beam is shining down
From that pearl in the night sky
Its glow lighting up your face
You Standing bereft
with a moon lit silhouette
rivers of pain
run down your face
caused by the words I said
If only the world had a rewind
I would press it straight away
To take away the pain I’ve caused
Words can chill
Can leave you cold
But can never be unsaid
Measure your words
Speak gently
And the world will be a better place
