Speak

It hurts deep down at the core. Not even silence dulls my pain. I want to speak, But do I have the words? I've stood here in the cold For years on end; Waiting in silence for someone to come And listen to my heart. Why can't anyone hear my cries? Why am I still alone In this cruel, cruel world Which crushes my soul each day? I try to find love. I try to find hope. I try to find courage. I try to find the will to live. Still waiting here within the silence. Lost, searching for a little light. Can someone please find me And save me from the dark? Please, get me out of here Before this evil swallows me whole. I want to be saved, But can I find the will To speak?
