Sparkling Devotion
When sky’s curtains drape the clouds
A mind reels from bruises of the day,
Listening in stillness to the rhythm of breath
And in this space, his eyes whisper
Of moonlight’s rock-a- bye, swaying the gait,
Waiting for the promised lull of the wind
Softly pinching a gaze upon light’s pause--
And finding his woman tumble in sighs
Trickling, gushing into a weary haze.
Stars, fiddling serenades of robins’ tweet,
Absorb tired thoughts to drift like a song ,
As fragrant air from of window weaves a hum
Blending with the melody of celestial sparks.
Then, like an open flight, her heart inclines
To slide on rails cuddled by gasps of demise---
While his love-light echoes:” Hush, my dear
Sleep tight as lashes drop; Dream with me,
Play our song to the tune of warm chorus.”
And the world passes by in a quiet tunnel,
Where morn holds starlight's devoted keep.
