Spaceship
I landed on a likely world
And looked around for signs of life;
I saw a figure like a slug -
He asked me if I’d take his wife.
The alien was pretty grim;
I aimed my stun gun, fired at him,
Then sped away at record speed,
And left the planet and its moon.
I saw a star and headed there;
I’d reach that solar system soon.
I hope it’s better than the last
Because the Earth is dying fast…
