South Carolina Trees
These strong old South Carolina trees
have now become my canopies.
God bless these South Carolina trees
that swung black bodies in the breeze.
They call for peace and harmonies
the ancient southern wrong in these,
that brings their grandness to bowed knees
to ask in prayer, “Forgive us please.”
