Soup Friends Best Medicine

When friend's are few And you find yourself feeling down Without a confident or sage such as D.K Seek not the solace and comfort found in chicken soup Or drown your sorrows in alcohol To perk and pick you up But rather converse in that of the poetic kind Because exchanging poetry comes without the fear of a morning hangover And even more than an apple Keeps the doctor at bay Because sometimes all one needs Is to vent and be heard And at that moment in time when it comes You will realize the person you 1st wish to call upon and confide in Is a friend indeed

You probably notice I never use the word friend in my comments boxes, not to be disingenuous or arrogant, it’s just me so don’t read too much into it, indeed we all may well be pen friends, and your right we listen, banter, confide in what we write, without ever meeting each other, it’s open to scrutiny by others, who cares, But it is great to converse even if we wouldn’t know each other in the street, cheers David

Yes i totally get your point and what you are saying David. Never feel you need to ever explain or justify yourself to me. Friend as you say is a generic term desription uses. As you say pen-pal is correct or more appropriate. Like you said more kindred spirit's who would pass each other blindly by on the street
