Sounds of Purring
As his soft paw started to touch the ground
You never could hear a single sound
And just after that there would occur
Sound I had heard which was like a purr.
Then his paws liked to lick continually
Reminding himself it was now time to be
Heading towards food and water in a bowl;
To be filled up now was his greatest goal.
After he had been rolled body up in a heap
He quickly found that he was fast asleep
And again for certain it surely seems
Sounds of purring were perturbing in his dreams.
