Sounds of Prison

The constant rattling of chains, Has been known to drive a man insane. The steady clink of closed cell doors. Voices filled with rage echoes down corridors. Guards using night sticks banging off bars. Menacing eyes looking out windows wish on a star. Crys are heard into the night. You can hear the pain and blows from a one sided fight! The rec-yard is a mental escape Information is passed about the latest victim of a gang rape. Weights being lifted, basketball being played. This is the time you carry your homemade blade! The noises of prison life are frightening at times. And yet a lot of us suffer for petty crimes!

My heart goes out to you. In you I see not a "fallen star"but the one that is rising to a better place. I know it is a hard life whether in there or out here but Faith can see you through. Do not give up. Keep writing and dreaming of the life you want to have and one day, not too far from now, it will be. Great things await you though right now you may not believe that coming from me.
