Soul Purr

You came to my door, The night I needed a friend the most Unexpectedly, I smiled You walked straight inside like I’ve known you all along And we both knew in each other we did belong It wasn’t hard to figure out, sweet angel You came through that door To restore my soul -Dedicated to my new furry friend, Clyde

AW, nothing like a new friend to restore your soul. Love is everywhere my love. Around a corner under a hat. Open your heart. That is where it's at! ~Kilmer~

Such a sweet little write. Only those with "furry friends" can truly understand this kind of unconditional love :)

Well, they do have a place in our world. They have done a lot of important things for us. They are wild, but can be tamed briefly. They do sometimes like company.

This dude won't leave my side now! He's a big baby really, but I like his company. :) Thanks again for reading and commenting. ~Laura

I reckon we'd have a houseful too if my wife was not so allergic. Great writing here Laura! Now, to go chase away the dust bunnies!

Those creatures, that are capable of restoring our souls do seem destin to do so, like they know our ancient pathways Laura...J.A.B.

So true and thoughtful Justin. For this particular feline, we bonded straight away. He's so chill and sweet for a stray cat, which leads me to believe he must have had a home at least at some point. I only worry that I have taken him from his home. Though, since my neighborhood is crazy, and people have hurt cats during this month before, I think it's best he sticks around here... ~Laura

I see in this poem that you can be 'soft' at heart. I too take in all sorts of creatures that are in need of a home and friendship...good thing my garden is big enough to cater for them! ~ Regards // paul
