Sorrow

The rose is full the emblem of the thief, skull and crossbones the compositor of grief; love purloins the heart, envy steals the soul and darkness shrouds the day. Life is hard and tragedy is tough, downheartedness is hard to take; to break the bond of sorrow means an effort of the will, once overcome the sun's caress will bless your window sill!

So very powerful and wonderfully written. Such true pain and struggles hurt us all, and you have captured the very essence of that, but turned it into a very good poem. I would also like to thank you for commenting on my poem "Rise Above". It is very much appreciated. Steven

Very nice, Keith! Like the way you describe the obstacles one must overcome in life before "the sun's caress" can "bless your window sill!" You always speak straight from your heart. It is the sign of great strength in a writer. Outstanding! Love, Carolyn
