Sonnet To Connie
Dear Connie, your departing grieves me much.
Your many praising comments were my muse.
On days I deemed a pen to never touch,
you made me feel my verse was of some use.
You always were a person to react
as if the words strummed chords deep in your heart
and with your joyous FAVS gave me love back.
A reason to go on you did impart.
Sometimes in life the best of us God calls
to quickly join the angels in their flight.
While memories of them on soft ears fall,
to motivate the thoughts of one to write.
For your great person, I will always long.
