Somewhere In The Longing A man will long for many things before he meets his end. Like longing for somebody a lover or a friend. Places that he's never seen that he may never go. But somewhere in that longing so much that he don't know. Cause deep inside that longing when things aren't going right. Living in the longing there always comes the night. When his spirit has grown quiet and his heart is restless still. The cool night air against his skin gives his soul a chill. Doubts and fears will follow he's unsure what to do. The only dreams that he can reach are the ones that don't come true. The longing like an unknown road should he turn left or right. Beware of the longing where lives the dark of night. Another poet said the raw honesty in any creative piece is what makes its art beautiful, on a comment he made on my piece months ago. I feel the same with this piece, Ed. Take care of this heart, that it may continue to create powerful art. A 7. Kim :)

I have to agree. And while they may never be the poems that seem to take flight. I believe some of the best writes ever penned are written at a time of brokenness. I know this is true of my own at least. How are you Kim? God bless!! Ed

Ed, You and I are coming right along with poetry writing. Very few poets are left that write rhyming poetry. Not only that. Both of our names are similar. We fly out of Raleigh, NC to London on May 16th. Will also see Stonehenge.
