Somewhere In the Distance
A forest stands
at the far end
of the valley
of unreality
The leaves are
blown by an autumn breeze
let the wind do its work
we walk down
the path
and see the brillant
colors in the distance
someday we'll
return home
but for the present
we will just enjoy
what we can
there is so little time
to waste
We must make haste!
Somewhere in the
distance
a bird is winging
its way
to it's nest
We are strangers in
this land
and must close
the curtain
all too soon
Somewhere in the distance
the small bird is
returning home
It's out of sight
now
but we have seen
it fly
We're not birds
but our spirits can
soar
