Somewhere In My Heart

There is a spark of something That just won’t go away That lingers, waiting for that spark. And I just know I’ll go crazy as a lark, (Even now I sound silly, don’t I?) And perch on the highest limb Singing melodies so sweet The world will smile with me, (Did I say smile?) I mean, the world will sing along with me When it comes. Somewhere in my heart there is a space Big enough to hold someone. (Can that be really true?) A hole that will not let me be whole - Somewhere in my heart lark’s A silly song waiting to fly (Did I really say that?) Somewhere in my heart lurks A merry song, That only a duo can sing That means you and me. Somewhere in my heart there Is a spark that just won’t go away

somethings aren't to be dissuade and should be bought front and center, companionship, kindness and love are such things, you had fun interwoven. beautiful piece.

Hello Sherese, Very Well-Done!! By the essence of your grand poem here, you've become the "Keeper of the Spark." Keep writing and having fun with it, which is so important for poetry.
