Sometimes It's Not How Much You Know , More Or Less What You Let Go

You can't build your future off of your past Because that's a structure that will never last It's like running full speed forward while looking back Tell me how far do you think you'll get like that How can you ever have a piece of mind When your mind is always focused on what's behind Leaves you walking thru life on a very thin line And it keeps you trapped somewhere back in time It's easy to move yourself forward and gain respect But yet the mirror cast an image that's easy to detect Cause your mind on the past thinking it'll happen next Which leaves you bother and so complex One lesson I've found , that took me so long to find true You can only move forward by putting the past behind you. It may leave you heartfelt and maybe a little blue But you got to accept it or let it go and do what you do
