Sometimes

Sometimes words fail me I am not perfect and have feet of clay But past all this I hope you have come to see That I care deeply and for us, I pray Sometimes I don’t know how to express my emotions It all rolls from my tongue in a clutter of confusion Often I flee to set my burdens free at the feet of the oceans Trying to find and fit the puzzle pieces of my confused thoughts as a final conclusion Failing don’t sit easy with me Sometimes I have to be strong, no matter how hard or steep the hill Mostly I ignore and steer away and pray to Thee Tomorrow I know the sun will rise and bring goodwill When that day arrive My wish is for us to have withered the storms That together we can be a union and thrive Side by side we can build and create our own platforms These past weeks we had our ups and downs It has brought laughter and sadness, joy and pain I hope you recognize that our relationship to me is not silly playgrounds Hopefully we have grown, get to know each other and that all was not in vain Sometimes I wish for things to change oh so soon Sometimes I close my eyes and wish all our worries would disappear Mostly our times have not been one happy honeymoon Somehow I do feel we have come closer, I hope you hear

I sincerely appreciate the kind comments my poems receive. Writing is my oxygen - without it I cannot exist. Pity I have such trouble finding publications in South Africa willing to pay for articles :-(

You are putting into words what most people can't. If it was written for a specific person hope they get to hear it. If a general feeling am sure it will reach lots of ears. Either way an inspirational poem well expressed and written. David from NZ
